SBSponsorshipBrain
Draft — pending legal review

Privacy policy

Last updated 10 October 2026. This draft describes how the SponsorshipBrain platform handles personal data today. It will be reviewed by a lawyer before it is final.

Who we are

SponsorshipBrain is a platform used by sports sponsorship agencies to manage the players they represent. The agency you have a representation agreement with is the organisation that decides what data about you is collected and why (the "controller"). SponsorshipBrain provides the software the agency uses. Questions about your data should go to the contact address at the end of this page.

What we collect about players

Only what the agency needs to represent you and report to sponsors:

Data Where it comes from Why
Name, nickname, country, status with the agency Entered by agency staff To manage your roster record
WhatsApp number and email address Entered by agency staff, with your agreement To contact you about deals, approvals and events
Profile photo and who holds its rights Uploaded by agency staff For the agency's website and sponsor materials
Tournament entries, results, prize money and ranking positions Entered by agency staff from public results and rankings, or later from a licensed data feed To show your sporting record to sponsors
Social media account data: your public profile and handle, follower counts, reach, impressions and engagement, by month Read from the platform's official API after you connect the account and grant read access To measure the audience a sponsor would reach

We read social media data only through the platforms' official interfaces, only after you have connected the account and given read consent, and only the audience figures listed above. We never read your private messages, and we never post to your account unless you have separately granted publishing consent linked to a signed deal and approved the specific post.

Where it is stored

On servers run by DigitalOcean in its London (United Kingdom) region, within the UK/EU data area. Access tokens for social accounts are encrypted before storage and are never shown in the browser or written to logs. Every change to your record is written to an audit log so the agency can show who did what and when.

How long we keep it

Who can see it

Staff at the agency that represents you, with access limited by their role. Sponsors see aggregated audience figures and your public sporting record in proposals the agency prepares; they are not given access to the platform or your contact details. We do not sell data to anyone.

Disconnecting a social account

You can remove our access at any time, either by asking your agency to disconnect the account in the platform, or directly in the social platform's settings (for example the "Apps and websites" or "Business integrations" page on Facebook and Instagram). Disconnecting deletes our access token immediately. Past monthly audience figures are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted, unless you ask for them to go sooner.

Your rights

Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask for a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to its use, or complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in the UK. To exercise any of these, see our data deletion and requests page.
